There’s something quite exhilarating about exploring our beautiful country in the same way that many of New Zealand’s pioneers once did, and on one of our trail rides, you too can experience some of the region’s most picturesque countryside.
Whether you are an experienced rider or a novice, we will provide a pony that is appropriate to your needs, and all our rides are adjusted to suit the ability of each rider.
There is a riding weight limit of 105KG maximum.

Novice riders are offered a special treat at Wild Oats Farm – a lead rein ride on one of our adorable, sweet natured horses or ponies. Guaranteed to delight even the most nervous rider and provide a wonderful introduction to the art of horse riding.
Escape the hustle and bustle of life and take a lead rein trek across magnificent farm land. With acres of sun dappled trails to explore, for many of our guests this is an unforgettable pony riding experience.
